Son Bhandar Caves are ancient rock-cut caves located at the foot of the Vaibhavgiri Hills in Gaya, Bihar. Believed to date back to the Mauryan period or early centuries CE, these caves are shrouded in legend—local lore claims they once stored hidden treasures. They feature inscriptions, Jain imagery, and beautifully polished stone interiors.

Son Bhandar Caves consist of two main chambers cut into a sandstone hill. The larger cave has a rectangular hall with a vaulted ceiling and an antechamber, echoing the style of Barabar Caves. Jain images are carved on the walls, and the caves are known for their smooth stone finish.
