Buddha Smriti Park, also known as Buddha Memorial Park, is located near Kumhrar in Patna, on the historic site of ancient Pataliputra. Spread across 25 acres, it features a grand circular stupa, meditation hall, museum galleries on the life of Buddha, and beautifully landscaped gardens perfect for reflection.

History

  • 2008: Conceptualized by the Government of Bihar to commemorate Lord Buddha.
  • 2010: Inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on February 14, 2010.
  • 2013: Museum galleries on Buddha’s life and teachings opened to the public.
