Overview

Eco Park, also known as Rajdhani Vatika, is located on Strand Road near the Bihar Secretariat in Patna. Spread over approximately 9 hectares, it features lush landscaped gardens, two interconnected lakes for boating, a children’s corner, jogging and cycling tracks, and themed plant sections showcasing over 3,000 varieties.

History

  • 2008: Conceptualized by the Department of Environment & Forest, Government of Bihar.
  • October 2011: Inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as part of an eco-tourism initiative.
  • 2012: Completion of themed gardens (Rashi Van, Guru Vatika, Panchwati) and boating facilities.
