Karkat Waterfall is nestled in Karkatgarh Village of the Kaimur Range, Bihar, cascading from a height of 100 feet and stretching about 300 feet wide on the Karmanasa River. It’s part of the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary and a natural habitat for crocodiles, making it a unique eco-tourism spot.
Located roughly 110 km from Patna, Karkat attracts wildlife enthusiasts, trekkers, and families year-round, but is especially mesmerizing post-monsoon when the falls are in full flow. The surrounding verdant forest and ancient British-era remains add to its historic charm.
Flowing through dense Kaimur forests and shimmering blue-green waters, the falls are known for their chilled, crystal-clear stream. The surrounding Sal trees, bird calls, and valleys stretching far add to its charm.
